A Word from the Seller:

 

They say a house only becomes a home when it is filled with life. For us, that is exactly what this place was—the spot where our three children grew up and where family life unfolded just as we had dreamed it would when we first built the house. The wonderful thing is that we never felt we had to adapt our lives to fit the house; quite the opposite. The house itself fostered our family life. There was room for everything here: the chaos of daily routines, big dinners around the table, quiet mornings overlooking Lake Fryken, and late summer evenings on the terraces, where nature embraces you and everything feels in harmony.

 

With terraces on both sides, the boundary between indoors and outdoors blurs. The children would run out barefoot to build dens, climb trees, and explore the forest right on our doorstep. A quick bike ride took them down to the lake for a summer swim, while in autumn, the apple trees filled the garden with fruit and the scent of the season.

 

The house also gave us space to live together while still allowing us to do things our own way. The kitchen and dining room were the heart of the home, where family and friends gathered for long dinners. Meanwhile, the upper floor was the children’s own world—a place for games, friends, secret hideouts, and imagination—leaving the ground floor as a space for us adults to socialize. The spacious utility room made life with an active family a little easier, offering room for everything from soccer cleats to skis and wet snowsuits.

 

Nestled in the greenery of the property is a guest house. Waking up there, with views of the water and the landscape right outside the window, is a truly special experience. The garage also houses an extra room—perfect for whatever the next family needs, whether it’s a teen’s room, a home office, a guest room, or perhaps a private gym.

 

We hope the next family feels the same way we did the day we moved in: that this is not just a house, but a place where life has plenty of room to unfold. A home where nature becomes part of everyday life, and the changing seasons drift in through the windows. All of this has given us so many wonderful memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
